My Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
I greet you with the Peace of our Lord!
I am Rev. Andrew Nnaemeka Onyemaobi the new administrator here at St. Valentine’s Church. I was ordained to the priesthood in May 2009 for the Archdiocese of Newark. While change is a part of life and a necessity, it could also be a source of emotional pain for some. This is because it is not easy to bid farewell to someone we love. But suffice it to say that Fr Basil reassign is in recognition of a job well done here at St Valentine’s Church. We are proud of him as he begins a new phase in life.
As Fr. Basil informed you in his last weeks here, by the Grace of God, I have been appointed to be his successor as an administrator, to take up responsibility for this beautiful Community. I want to thank you for your faith in our Church and for your commitment and dedication to the mission of Christ. Please know that I and our parish staff desire to connect with you, to help you grow in faith, and be part of your faith journey.
Do not hesitate to let us know of anything we can do for you, as valued members of our parish family. Please let us know how best we can help you; our doors are open. Know that we are here for you. My staff and I, as a team, will strive to be welcoming. Please stop by the office for a chat and a cup of coffee. This is your home. It is also your duty to reach out and introduce yourself and let us know in what capacity you can help build it up, we need you.
Meanwhile, our parish organizations, staff, parish council, and finance council, will remain as constituted will remain as is for the foreseeable future. If you have been a member of these councils, please contact me as soon as possible. As the church reopens from the coronavirus, I look forward to meeting you in the weeks ahead. This Community has a lot to offer. I hope you feel at home with me in the days ahead so that together we will grow in our relationship with Jesus.
May God bless you and keep you, and hold us all in the palm of His hand as we seek His Kingdom. I thank you all. With all my love & Blessings. Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

The total capacity in Church is 150 persons.
Please wear masks and observe distancing while in Church.
Weekday Mass Schedule
Daily Mass is at 12pm in the Rectory Chapel from Mondays through Saturdays.
Confessions (Sacrament of Reconciliation)
Saturdays at 12:30pm in Church or by appointment (please call the Rectory Office: (973) 743-0220 to make appointment).
Thank you for supporting St Valentine's
Thank you for your kind donations for the Church. You may also mail-in your envelopes or bring them to the Rectory. According to the Archdiocesan directives, our Ushers are not allowed to go around to collect your donations at the Sunday Mass. Collection baskets are placed around the baptismal font. Also, Church Bulletins are found in the Racks on the wall of the Vestibule, when you enter the Church. They are not allowed to be distributed by hand.
The Rectory Office will be open Mondays thru Fridays from 9am to 2pm.
